I have been having loads of fun making these aluminum flowers. Preparing for a coffee shop show in September, I decided to create an array of pieces that would make a beautiful grouping for one of the walls.
This is the second piece I made for this collection.
It was completed by using some of my home made aluminum flowers as well as some fabric flowers and bling. It began with a 9" x 12" canvas. The background was created with blue and green tissue papers. I stenciled white flowers over them to add interest. Gold stems were added. Some were topped with the aluminum flower compilations and others with some bling. I decided to add pettals to the 'bling' flower buds and then using multiple sakura gel pens, I added confetti type specks to the background.
Here are the two pieces together:
As always, I appreciate your stopping by and welcome comments.

I love these!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Breanna. I am having a blast making them!
DeleteI love your canvases and cannot wait to hear more about the show!
ReplyDeleteSandee, The local coffee shop features a local artist every month, so it's really just a month long display. I don't have to mingle or talk or anything. Thank heavens as both of those social aspects are a bit outta my comfort zone :)
DeleteI love them, they are so beautiful and they will look great hanging up in the coffee shop
ReplyDeleteThanks, Donna! I am excited to create some more pieces.
