Love Soap Days!

This morning, I spent some time trimming, and packaging bars of soap to fill a couple of requests.

Today my kitchen smells of Espresso Vanilla, Lavender, and Oatmeal Honey!!!

Did I mention that I LOVE SOAP DAYS?

A 4th of July Wedding

Another day off yesterday and I finally got my son's candid wedding pictures scrapped. Yes, they got married on the 4th of July and here it is the middle of August before I even get them started.  I love how they turned out and I had a lot of fun creating them.
I cried a little as I sorted through the photos. I wasn't able to share the day with them and was a bit envious of those who did. OK, I was a whole lot of envious! (Just another quirk of retirement; you don't have to get vacation time approved ... I can't wait!)

Of course, you can't expect that I would put aside the whole Red, White, and Blue  theme in lieu of traditional wedding colors. They wanted a 4th of July wedding, so they get 4th of July colors. It's this scrappers ( and mother's) prerogative, after all.

Nicol and Tiffany, I love you both and I hope these pages will help you keep the memory of this day close to your heart. xxoo

Awesome Birthday Party!

Having a little time off from my day job, I've been able to put a little time into some personal pages that have been on my "carry over" list for quite some time.

In December of 2012, my son's girlfriend (now my daughter in law) threw my son a 28th birthday party that BEAT THE BAND! It was awesome.

I hadn't seen my son in a few years. I flew down as part of the surprise. I arrived the day before the party. I was so excited to spend time with my daughter, but I can't begin to tell you how hard it was to be so close to my son and have to wait to see him until the next day.

These pages tell a story of a girlfriend who loves so deeply that she put together the only party that would make my son happy. She hired his favorite local artist to play. She invited exactly the friends that he would want to celebrate with. She made this party all about him and was able to keep it in his comfort zone (Nicol does NOT like to be the center of attention).

These pages tell the story of an Aunt (my sister, Tracy) who surprised us all by secretly flying from NY to Florida to make Nicol's day special.

These pages also tell the story of the closest friends a man could ever have!

Hope you enjoy seeing them!

Easy Peasy Using A Template

I was excited to scrap a new page of William today getting his first haircut. I wanted to get two pages completed, so I used a template for this one and just changed it up a bit. Quick and easy. Love templates!!!

The second page was the most fun. I received a video of William eating a popsicle and was able to get a few still pictures from it. Here is the result.... so many cute expressions.
