The100DayProject: #100daysofminimandalas

As you know, a lot of changes have taken place here at Byrd Street Studio. One of them being my desire to be more present in my art; my desire to let it be a priority ( instead of what I can do when I am finished with housework and such. )

With that said, I have joined thousands of other creatives in The100DayProject. This began on April 2nd and everyone is trying to be committed to 100 days of creativity.

There are stitchers, painters, poets, jewelry makers, illustrators and more. There is a plethora of creative endeavors happening each day in this group. It's exciting to see the inspired works posted daily.

I decided to try : #100daysofminimandalas   In other words, 100  Days  of  Mini  Mandalas

These are the minis I have completed to date. They are drawn  on 3.5" squares of Bristol card stock with Copic Multiliners and colored with Copic Markers. Hand drawn, they are far from perfect, but I really like them.

My niece and great nephew are coming for a visit on Monday. Because they are only staying a few days, I will try to draw a couple more minis over the weekend to make sure I don't fall far behind in posting. I realize that's a wee bit cheating, but I'd feel better posting everyday than to have to try and catch up later. I guess cheating could also be interpreted as committed.

Today I have to finish painting the main bathroom and get it cleaned up and ready for my guests. I am so excited to see them.

I have to give the puppy a bath also. He needs to be 'guest ready'. My grand kids will laugh at that as I always told them their bathroom needed to be in that condition everyday; guest ready! ha ha

Last , but not least, my grandson moved out of the studio yesterday. He moved beach side taking the step to be on his own. Once I clean up what's left in the space he occupied, I can start hosting classes again. Most importantly, I don't have to art from my dining table anymore.

Thank you, as always for following my art and life journeys.
